I (Chris) had the privilege of being a part of the incredible delta.com team for three years as a Web Content Developer. I developed new content, led projects such as the interactive route map implementation, did regular content maintenance and rearranged large sections for improved usability.
The talented designer (Tim) that worked on FamilyNet partners with us in providing custom designed sites and graphics. Together we rebuilt this site to move it from the Content Management System it was in. The code was greatly simplified to make it much easier to maintain. Each page had custom backgrounds yet content elements were always in HTML for best search engine indexing. Even video players were carefully positioned and overlayed on custom images or backgrounds for an ultimate professional design.
Todd Pevey has a great Christian ministry helping and providing services to other ministries. His graphic designer had already created a wonderful design. We provided the development pro bono. We love the result and enjoyed helping a great cause.
Chris was approached by some FamilyNet co-workers about joining this project. It is a custom concept and design. It employs Flash on the home page and displays landmark photos from around the world. Each photo has a caption displaying that Jesus loves the people of the respective country.
Rick and Theresa Moore developed an amazingly delicious peanut brittle recipe. At the suggestion of friends, they turned it into a business. They sell literally hundreds of pounds at festivals and craft shows. Once people taste a sample, they're hooked. The Moores just needed a professional site with e-commerce to go global. We delivered at a reasonable price they could afford.
The Rick's Brittle site was a dated, generic template and the shopping experience was very cumbersome. Theresa was completely frustrated with the site-building solution that was offered by her hosting company.
The client preferred the clean elegant look of our Minimal White design as they were able to pump it full of useful content, photos, illustrations, links and even video. The result is a highly usable and attractive site that works well for the client's purposes. "Chris listened to our needs and was able to create the exact look we were looking for. Highly Recommended!"
Prior to coming to us, the existing website was on a simple template with duplicate top and side navigation. The site builder that was used intertwined the font, table and style code with the content which made it very complex.
We were a little skeptical at first of the dark design they selected, but this Mother-Daughter real estate team wanted a site that would stand out from the crowd. They sure got it. They sent us beautiful pictures from the area that they took themselves. We put them in a jQuery slide show surrounded by a picture frame background. It had us wanting to move down to South Florida!
Action Collision is a state-of-the-art auto collision repair center in Montgomery, AL. They had already done a billboard campaign in the area. We used the same concept to make the site header and build on the brand recognition. We added good photos of their shop, work and staff. You get a really good feel for this family-owned and operated business now by just visiting the site.
The old site was done by a company that specialized in body shop websites. While there was a fair amount of industry content, it was completely generic as was the design. There was nothing personal about it. The logo was not incorporated and there were no photos from the actual location.
Jim Anderson, owner of Anderson Windshield, really liked the ACR site (directly below) but had some favorite colors in mind for the site. To further distinguish the site, we made the main content area white with a shadow over a tan background. When Jim saw the completed site he commented, "I'm very impressed with the site. You did a fantastic job! Thanks."
This client came to us for help after spending much time with one of the many do-it-yourself systems that promise the moon but deliver frustration. We took elements that we worked with and some others we had observed to come up with this design for ACR. The header and footer have a 100% width while the content area is a fixed width. A background image creates the gray side rails that can be varied for several different page layouts. The top promotional area can be added to any page just above the main navigation.
This was solely Chris's venture. He built it from the ground up. It had fully integrated affiliate programs, ran Google ads, had an active forum with around 4,000 members, received 100,000 page views a month and received great search engine rankings. There were thousands of pages of member generated content. He had a blast!
